I have worked as a freelance writer, government policy analyst and adjudicator, and as a researcher profiling innovators and scientists. My magazine articles explored everything from programs for the homeless to young entrepreneurs. I have facilitated workshops for those who want to begin submitting the fiction and creative non-fiction they have been keeping to themselves. This blog began with my observations of the mountain forest of PKOLS (Mt. Douglas) on Vancouver Island, where I go to clear my head of my writing and editing. I live and write in beautiful Victoria, BC, but I am equally at home in an apartment off Portobello Road or swimming Big Beach on Maui.
